On May 21, 2011 Playtivity participated in the World Youth Peace Walk which was announced as Nobel Peace Prize winner Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu's last public appearance. There was much press coverage and we managed to sneak into just about every story about the event. Please visit our Facebook page to see all the coverage: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Playtivity/142854919117168 "If you've never done this before, the key is to listen to the heart beat." said drum circle leader, Craig Norton. With that he began a song hitting a Native American log drum. Heads began nodding and hands moved. A woman shook a gourd with beads. A man hit a 2-tone bell. Another hit a bongo. Soon a dozen people were creating music, having fun and connecting basically what the drum circle was all about.

The circle drew several children away from a picnic nearby. Soon the children were grabbing instruments and playing along. Some people sat outside the circle watching contently. "It brings people together." Norton states, "There are people who have never done this before and this big group of people will be playing together within seconds. It's instant community."

"It's got me in a completely good mood. I had fun, did something creative and connected with people in a way that I don't normally during the week."
